Quick Fix Summary
TL;DR: Your drones took a beating? Dock at any station with repair services, hit Fitting > Services, pick your ship, then click Repair All Drones. Confirm, and wait for the repair bar to finish.
What’s going on with my drones?
In EVE Online as of 2026, drones act like little remote-controlled helpers launched from your ship. They take damage in fights just like your ship’s modules or hull. Here’s the catch—unlike modules, drones can’t be patched up in space. They need to be physically hauled back to a station’s repair shop to get their hit points and functionality restored.
Here’s exactly how to fix them
- Get to a repair-friendly spot. Dock at any station or secure POS structure that offers a Repair Shop.
- Open the Fitting window. Hit Alt + F or click the Fitting icon in the Neocom.
- Head to the Services tab. In the Fitting window, click the Services tab (it’s between Modules and Drone Bay).
- Fire up the Repair Shop. Click Repair Shop to bring up the repair interface.
- Pick your ship. From the dropdown menu, make sure your current ship is selected.
- Hit “Repair All Drones”. In the lower-right corner of the repair panel, click the Repair All Drones button.
- Confirm the repair. A prompt will pop up; click Yes to get the process going.
- Wait it out. A progress bar will show the repair time—usually under 30 seconds. Once it’s done, your drones will be back to full strength.
Still not working? Try these instead
- Manual drone repair via drone bay: Undock, open the Drone Bay tab (Alt + D), right-click each damaged drone, and pick Repair if the option shows up. Only works if you’re close enough to a repair service at a station or POS.
- Bring a Mobile Depot or Capital Ship Maintenance Bay: If you’re rolling with a big fleet or alliance that has capital logistics, dock a carrier or mothership and use its Drone Bay > Repair All function. You’ll need the right ship fittings and skills for this.
- Watch out for ECM or warp disruption: If your drones won’t launch after repair, check if you’re being jammed by enemy ECM. Warp to a safe spot or slap on a warp stabilizer to fix it.
How to keep your drones from breaking in the first place
- Load up drones at stations. Always keep drones in your drone bay while docked. Right-click drones in the bay and set them to Mine Repeatedly or Combat Repeatedly so they auto-reuse.
- Fit some tougher modules. Slap in a Damage Control module and an active armor repairer to cut down on drone losses during missions or PvP.
- Keep an eye on drone health. Turn on the Drone Health column in your overview so you can track drone status in real time.
- Upgrade to a drone-friendly ship. As of 2026, ships like the Carrier (10–15 drones) or Supercarrier (20+ drones) give you more drone capacity and toughness, so you won’t need repairs as often.
- Don’t overcommit in high-risk areas. In drone-heavy zones like the north-east of New Eden, limit how many drones you send out or switch to ECM-resistant setups to avoid losing them.
