What’s happening here?
Capital IQ is a market-intelligence platform from S&P Global that aggregates and standardizes financial data for investment professionals
Think of it as a giant financial data warehouse. The platform pulls together numbers from over 62,000 public companies and 4.4 million private firms, then organizes everything into neat, comparable formats. (No more wrestling with messy spreadsheets—this thing does the heavy lifting.) Real-time data feeds keep the numbers fresh, while built-in Excel integration means you can build models without jumping between programs. According to S&P Global Market Intelligence, it’s the go-to tool for investment banks, asset managers, and corporate finance teams tackling due diligence or big-picture strategy.
